Executive Chairman Martin French of Chesterfield Resources spoke to Jeremy Naylor and our friends at IGTV to discuss further the companies outlook in the Mediterranean. The Company is listed on the Standard List having acquired assets via a reverse takeover. Since then it has become the largest holder of minerals rights in Cyprus and formed a technical team of very senior geologists from First Quantum, Rio Tinto and Lundin Mining. Its commercial advantage is to use modern technology to explore for metals in ways unavailable to miners in Cyprus previously.
Cyprus is a famous historical source of copper. The word copper is derived from the Latin name for Cyprus. From its operational base in the country, Chesterfield has been running remote sensing, mapping, archive, geochemical and geophysics programs and expects to be drilling across a number of prospective targets soon.
