Interview With Andrew Monk of VSA Capital
Doc Holiday caught up with Andrew Monk of VSA capital in the latest CEO Interview, during this interview we hear Monk’s unique view of the world as a seasoned city professional. Andrew is a great advocate of opportunities in Asia and was one of the early noisemakers of the then-pending ramifications of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mr. Monk gives his view on most things, and unusually he highlights the poor practices which exist within the city, in addition to his strong and well-rationalised argument on Oil, Richard Branson, Airlines, The Travel Industry, The tip, and a tap of the national press, immoral fundraising platforms and much more. He also highlights a number of VSA clients at an interesting time in their evolution.
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the City, working at Hoare Govett ABN AMRO for 11 years, before founding Oriel Securities (with the backing of the Vitol Group) and then becoming CEO of Blue Oar Plc. During this time, he has built up strong relationships with many major institutional investors in London and Asia. Andrew acquired VSA Capital in 2010 and has repositioned VSA as a leading investment bank for growth companies, alongside having a unique focus on taking western companies to China.
