The World High Life brand aims to be Global in Medicinal Cannabis
“…There’s going to be a sharp wake up call for a lot of the companies in the US which is going to be our first port of call for Q2…”
The nimbleness of legal cannabis company World High Life was demonstrated at the height of the coronavirus last year when the company realised footfall for its products was going to be increasingly online during lockdown.
And the pressures of lockdown and what isolation was doing to both the mental and physical health of the ‘locked in’ resulted in greater demand for the company’s medical cannabis products.
Fifty thousand customers and distribution channels including Holland and Barrett, Sainsbury’s and Ocado bear testimony to the popularity and benefits of legal cannabis; and critically the trust that consumers and partners have in World High Life’s Love Hemp brand.
Newly appointed Chief executive Tony Calamita is now overseeing the complete transition and renaming of the entire business to the Love Hemp business he founded. Known by friends and colleagues as ‘The Doc,’ this former personal fitness trainer is a keen advocate of good health, knows about the body being your temple and he fully understands the benefits of CBD. He’s such a believer he owns over 13% of the business.
Tony tells Sarah Lowther about Love Hemp’s global ambitions including a listing on a Canadian securities exchange and taking on the US within the second quarter of this year.
