A Lot of Ground Covered for Empire Metals Ltd

“…It’s a great time for Empire Metals to be involved in the industry in Western Australia. It’s really dynamic. It’s buzzing and we’ve got a foot in the door…”

Prove to me that you can add value to the Eclipse Gold Project in Western Australia, and then I’ll give you another portion of the best address in the region’s gold fields.

That is the gist of the conversation that world-renowned Kalgoorlie prospector Mel Dalla-Costa had with the board of Empire Metals when he negotiated the Eclipse licence before he let the explorer have a slice of the Central Menzies Gold project too.

Dalla-Costa is in his eighties now, and the former Andean Resources director wants to see his legacy in good hands and no doubt he is delighted with Empire’s choice of Shaun Bunn as Managing Director who also has Kalgoorlie as part of his career DNA.

The pieces are in place to create Empire’s ambition of becoming a small scale gold producer, but as non executive director Mike Struthers explains to Sarah Lowther, with this new gold rush in Western Australia the assay labs are under pressure and there’s a six week wait for drilling results.  And for those, the board is on the edge of its seat as it waits to see if the Jack’s Dream discovery will fulfil that very dream.

New managing director Shaun Bunn talks to Proactive London’s Katie Pilbeam about the option to buy a majority stake in the Central Menzies gold project.
