A truly world class collection of assets for Lexington Gold
“…It’s just a matter of time before investors and potential new shareholders see what we really have as a gold company…”
When you look at the size of Lexington Gold’s entire portfolio and compare that to the amount of money it made in its recent raise, new investors can be forgiven for thinking it may not be enough to support all the assets.
But take the time to analyse the projects in the United States and South Africa and you’ll see how different each project is in terms of where they are on the business plan, the development arc and who the partners are that are involved with some.
The strategy applied for all of them under chief executive Dr Bernard Olivier is steady, methodical and diplomatic.
Around 30% of the recent funds raised are going to the follow up drill programme at the Jennings-Pioneer asset in South Carolina after the previous campaign revealed gold and polymetallic intersections with the unexpected appearance of tellurium which is used in in solar cells and as a catalyst in oil refining.
With many major countries now demonstrating muted loyalty to green energy solutions, the fossil fuel industry is far from being shut down or bypassed by what is perceived to be more climate friendly initiatives. For that reason tellurium is becoming more interesting.
Lexington’s strategy in the U.S. is well-managed, with cost-conscious smaller campaigns to build up data sets and create a JORC compliant resource and an exploration overview that may attract the type of partnerships Lexington enjoys in South Africa with industry majors and world-famous prospectors.
As Bernard explains to Sarah Lowther in this video interview the entire portfolio is what excites him as collectively it is “stacking up into a truly world class combination of assets.”
“It’s just a matter of time before investors and potential new shareholders see what we really have as a gold company, and the large amount of resources that we have that we are developing.”
